What the patent describes
The patent abstract describes a high-barrier polyolefin composite film. From the outside to the inside, it includes:
- Layer 1Outer PE film
- Layer 2Water-barrier layer
- Layer 3High-barrier PVA coating layer
- Layer 4Adhesive layer
- Layer 5Inner PE film
The inner PE film is a blend of HDPE, MDPE, LLDPE and LDPE with a water- and oxygen-barrier masterbatch.
What it means for your project
The patent covers the film technology. It is not a performance figure for a specific bag. Barrier, seal and shelf life still depend on the finished structure, bag size, inks, zipper, product and storage conditions, and are confirmed in sampling and on your own product.
